- What is a candlestick chart?
- A candlestick shows the open, high, low and close price for one time period. The body spans open to close and the thin wicks show the high and low. Read the full guide.
- What are support and resistance?
- Support is a price zone where buying has repeatedly stopped a fall; resistance is a zone where selling has repeatedly stopped a rise. Read the full guide.
- What is RSI?
- The Relative Strength Index is a momentum oscillator scaled from 0 to 100, usually calculated over 14 periods. Readings above 70 are traditionally called overbought and below 30 oversold, though strong trends can stay at extremes for long. Read the full guide.
- What is MACD?
- Moving Average Convergence Divergence is the gap between a 12-period and a 26-period exponential moving average, plotted with a 9-period signal line. Crossovers and the histogram show shifts in momentum. Read the full guide.
